United Cannabis Corporation (OTCBB: CNAB) (the “Company” or “United Cannabis”) today announced that Murray Jensen has joined the Company’s Medical Advisory Board and is tasked with overseeing the Company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application process with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Mr. Jensen brings extensive expertise in drug development, with over 25 years’ experience in research for pharmaceutical, medical device and natural health products in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. He has held numerous senior clinical research positions at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and for the past 15 years has served as Managing Director of ethica CRO Inc. where he is responsible for Business Operations and Clinical and Scientific Affairs.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Jensen stated, “United Cannabis has developed a noteworthy portfolio of phyto-therapeutic products and I am very impressed with the results documented in their preliminary testing, including their cannabis-centric Prana line of medications. Mr. Jensen earned a Master’s Degree of Science in Medical Science, Neuropathology, and served on the faculty at the University of Calgary, Alberta, before embarking on a successful career in drug development with companies in the global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CRO industries.
