Pennsylvania residents have voted in overwhelming numbers for the legalization of cannabis. Franklin and Marshall College conducted the poll, and 56% returned a “Yes” in favor of weed being made legal.
The ball in now in the legislature’s court. There are five bills in the house that could determine the future of marijuana in Pennsylvania.
1. SB213 is in favor of marijuana legalization and its control in a manner similar to how alcohol is regulated. The bill advocates restricting drivers and individuals under 21 years from using weed. Reselling marijuana and public consumption would also be illegal.
2. A resolution moved by Sen. Mike Folmer seeks the renewal of the Rohrabacher-Farr amendment that restricts the Department of Justice from overturning state laws related to medical marijuana and cultivation of weed.
3. HB741 relates to prison terms for drug convictions. It seeks to lower prison term from five years to three years if the subject is caught trafficking up to 50 lbs of weed.
4. HB1006 relates to weed grow houses and will require home sellers to inform buyers if the property has been used to cultivate marijuana.
5. HB847 seeks harsher sentences for drug trafficking that involves cocaine and heroin. It is in favor of retaining marijuana’s present status as an illegal substance.

Just legalize already! It brings so much income to the state!
Let me just spell this out. Legalize weed. Don’t traffic that shit. Don’t sell cocaine and meth. And treat is as if it were liquor. Not to hard. Time to legalize.

I would love to see all 50 states legalize under specific rules.
There should be regulations, maybe classify cannabis as a class 2 drug rather than a class 1
If it was a class 2 drug you would have to sign for it as well as have regulations on how much of it you can get. I think that is a great idea.
